Vivid Horizon Bedrock
VividHorizon is now available for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
This Bedrock Edition version allows you to bring the VividHorizon look from its original Java shaderpack into Bedrock Edition using the Minecraft built-in Vibrant Visuals lighting and PBR.
It is not a simple port of the original shader since the Bedrock Edition has a completely different rendering process. Thus, VividHorizon Bedrock is made around the Vibrant Visuals, not using any code from the original shader.
What It Include And Add in The Game:
VividHorizon Bedrock tries to create a warm, rich and atmospheric version of Minecraft.
Improved lighting:
- Warmer, colorful sunrises and sunsets;
- Golden and orange colors at sunrise and sunset;
- Blue-white color at night;
- Improved emissive lighting from torches, lava and glowstone;
- Slightly increased ambient light for better shadows;
- Minor additional surface shininess from PBR settings.
Goal: to make the same experience in Bedrock Edition as in VividHorizon Java Edition, while remaining lightweight and compatible with all texture packs.
Vibrant Visuals Is REQUIRED To be ON
VividHorizon Bedrock requires Minecraft Bedrock Edition version 1.21.120 or later and Vibrant Visuals to be enabled.
If Vibrant Visuals is turned off, the lighting changes will not work.
Compatibility with texture packs
VividHorizon Bedrock doesn’t overwrite any block/entity textures since it is focused on lighting and PBR, you can continue using your favorite texture packs.
Important differences from Java
There are some features from the original shader pack that the Bedrock Edition version does not contain, since some features cannot be implemented through the Vibrant Visuals JSON:
- Custom End planets and moons
- Shooting stars
- True Darkness
- Other programmable atmospheric effects
This shader pack doesn’t use any unauthorized rendering techniques, working strictly within the limits of the supported Vibrant Visuals.
Requirements
- Vibrant Visuals enabled
- Device supporting Vibrant Visuals
